If you are playing NRL and have turned 27 already, or if you have transitioned from playing NRL in the last five years then we are pleased to welcome you to the NRL Transition Program.
No matter whether you’re six months into or six years away from transition you know better than anyone that preparation is key. It is the aim of this program to help you prepare to be “transition-tough”.
Retiring Players: 2017
Your wellbeing is our priority
Change and transition can sometimes be challenging. It is normal to feel a range of things; like missing the team environment, the training, and that passion that you felt when playing NRL.
Many guys have said that it was really helpful to talk to someone about how they were feeling. This can be Bobcat, Nigel, your Club Welfare and Career staff or trusted friends and family.
Retired players who participated in Career Transition say it helped them to feel more confident about moving to the next phase of their career.
It was essential that I started planning for life beyond Rugby League, and NRL CareerWise helped me develop a comprehensive plan and a more positive attitude towards the next stage of my life.Jason King
